I lived next to this market for almost a year. It's in Escandón, Mexico City. This is what it looked like last month on Day of the Dead.

La Llorona performance.

You can still see the performance of La Llorona around the canals of Xochimilco (which is in it's 20th year) until 24th Novemeber. Info here.

The black one says 'protection against witchcraft'. Other favourites (not pictured) say 'Saint Antony and Saint Jude… Find me a boyfriend' and 'Saint Jude and Virgin Mary give us work, health, money and love'.
